The IV-7 Dot Printhead is driven by Diagraph’s IV700 Ink Jet Printing System. IV700
The IV700 is a low cost, single-line application ink jet printer. The entire printer package (including printhead controller with built-in QWERTY keypad, power module, mounting bracketry, and a user’s manual is $1,595.00 list price. This printer is one of the easiest drop- on-demand ink jet systems in the marketplace to install, operate and service.
The IV700 is an economical solution for simple case coding, and offers a smooth transition to automation from contact coding. This compact, versatile unit provides the user with numerous message control features such as QWERTY keypad with separate number keys, a variety of LED’s, toolbars, and autocodes. Another added benefit to IV700 is the adjustable printhead, which allows the unit to easily adapt to various applications. The printhead position is independent of the controller, so the printhead can be positioned for top, side, bottom and inclined conveyor printing.
The print quality of this printer is superior to comparable low-cost, single line models. It has individual dot control capability and utilizes Diagraph’s patented integrated valve (I.V.) technology. Each unit is capable of printing 5-dot, 7-dot and 7-dot bold fonts. Multiple fonts can be combined in a single line of print. Maximum print speed of the unit is 250 fpm.
The IV700 has a unique, easy-to-use inking unit. The printer features an easily changeable ink canister that can be changed without stopping production. The large volume, 13.5 fluid ounce canisters contain an environmentally friendly, non-MEK black ink that is SARA-compliant.
