Is An All-Inclusive Service Agreement Right For You?
Specify Alternate Text

All-inclusive service agreements have their perks:

  • The cost of the agreement over the lifetime of the agreement is predictable.
  • Maintenance is guaranteed, so you know your equipment will be consistently running at peak performance.
  • All repairs are covered, giving you peace-of-mind that if anything goes wrong, you know exactly who and how it will be fixed.

But how do you know if an all-inclusive service agreement is right for your facility?

There are several factors to consider, including:

  1. Maintenance Team Availability -- Even the most skilled maintenance teams can opt for an all-inclusive service agreement if they do not have enough time to make sure coding and labeling equipment is running properly and continues to be serviced well. We find that manufacturers with complicated processing equipment often prefer to leave the servicing of add-on equipment like inkjet coders, labelers, laser coders, and TTO printers to 3rd party service technicians so that they can focus exclusively on capital intensive equipment.
  2. Manufacturing Environment – Manufacturers with challenging production environments – like ones with heavy washdown procedures, high dust or other particulate matter in the air, high temperatures, low temperatures, large temperature swings due to no climate control in the manufacturing area, and high humidity – often choose an all-inclusive service agreement. These environments require a higher level of maintenance actions for nearly all equipment, making a guaranteed service agreement that covers nearly all “what ifs” an attractive option.
  3. Maintenance Budgets – Some manufacturers prefer to know exactly what they are spending to maintain their equipment throughout the year. All-inclusive service agreements cover both proactive service visits that are designed to keep your equipment running at peak performance as well as unexpected service visits for when equipment encounters some form of electro-mechanical failure. When budgets are tight or inflexible, all-inclusive agreements inject the highest level of predictability into a maintenance budget.

At Diagraph, we offer our Premier Service Program to deliver predictable on-going service and maintenance costs even when customers are faced with worst-case scenarios. All repair costs, including parts and labor, are covered by the program. The program package is purchased for a specified number of years at the time of purchasing the equipment. The cost of the program can be paid entirely upfront or can be broken out over a series of months when bundled into an equipment leasing package.
